ETHICS POLICY

Statement on Publication Ethics and Malpractice

Imperium Académico Multidisciplinary Journal is fully committed to upholding the highest ethical standards throughout all stages of the editorial process. The journal adheres to the COPE Code of Conduct and ICMJE guidelines to promote ethical practices in the preparation, review, and publication of manuscripts. The following outlines the core principles guiding this policy.

Editorial Committee Responsibilities
Editorial independence and impartial evaluation: Manuscripts are assessed solely based on academic merit—quality, originality, clarity, and relevance. Personal characteristics such as race, gender, religion, institutional affiliation, or sexual orientation are not considered. Editorial decisions are independent and the sole responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief.

Confidentiality: All information regarding submitted manuscripts is strictly confidential. Only the corresponding author, assigned reviewers, and designated editorial staff will have access to editorial details.

Conflicts of interest and disclosure: The use of unpublished data for personal or financial gain is prohibited without explicit written consent from the authors. Editors with conflicts of interest must recuse themselves and delegate the review process.

Scientific Publication Ethics
All research must comply with the ethical standards of the region where it is conducted. Authors are responsible for obtaining necessary approvals before beginning the study. If manuscripts include human images, privacy and identity must be protected in accordance with ICMJE recommendations.

Research involving humans and animals: Studies must conform to the Declaration of Helsinki. Informed consent is required for all participants. Randomized trials must be approved by a Research Ethics Committee, disclose funding sources, and be registered in a public database such as ClinicalTrials.gov.

Conflicts of interest: Authors must declare any potential financial or personal relationships that could affect the research. If none exist, include the statement:
"Conflicts of interest: none."
If any exist, they must be disclosed using the ICMJE’s conflict of interest form.

Funding disclosure: Authors must identify any financial support and specify the role of funding institutions in the design, analysis, or submission of the manuscript. If no funding was received, this must be clearly stated.
