PEER REVIEW POLICY

Imperium Académico Multidisciplinary Journal implements a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic relevance of published articles. This process includes double-blind review, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure objective and impartial evaluation.

Phase 1: Initial Evaluation
The editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment within 72 hours, during which authors receive a notification with a unique reference number. The Editor-in-Chief or an assigned editor assesses the manuscript’s alignment with the journal’s scope, originality, academic value, and contribution.

Articles may be rejected at this stage due to thematic misalignment, poor structure, unclear findings, or plagiarism. In ambiguous cases, the Editorial Board is consulted.

Phase 2: Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial stage are sent to subject experts for in-depth evaluation. Reviewers assess the following:

  • Relevance and impact of the work.

  • Clarity and coherence of writing.

  • Theoretical rigor and logical structure.

  • Proper and updated use of references.

  • Methodological soundness.

  • Depth of analysis.

  • Originality and contribution of the conclusions.

Reviewers are given up to 30 days to submit their reports. Authors are then asked to make revisions within 8 to 15 days, depending on the feedback.

Phase 3: Editorial Quality Check
After peer review, manuscripts undergo editorial quality control, including grammar, spelling, formatting, and compliance with the journal's standards.

Successful completion does not guarantee publication, as the final decision depends on editorial priorities, publishing schedule, and overall impact.

Total Editorial Timeline
The full editorial process usually takes 8 to 12 weeks, though this may vary depending on article complexity and reviewer availability.

Roles and Confidentiality

  • Academic Editor: Oversees the review process. Reviewers have up to 8 days to issue a decision. Authors are informed of any delays.

  • Reviewer Confidentiality: Reviewer identities remain confidential unless they choose to disclose them.

  • Number of Reviewers: Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two experts. Additional reviewers may be assigned if needed.

Final Editorial Decision
The Academic Editor makes the final decision, which is communicated via email and the journal’s system. Possible outcomes include:

  • Acceptance without changes.

  • Minor revision.

  • Major revision.

  • Rejection.
