Ingeniería: un punto de encuentro entre arte, ciencia y tecnología desde una perspectiva fenomenológica del pensamiento innovador

This paper approaches engineering from a philosophical and phenomenological perspective, moving beyond the reductionist view that regards it merely as a set of technical procedures aimed at solving practical problems. It argues that engineering, in addition to its scientific and technological dimensions, represents an integrative discipline in which creativity, intuition, and aesthetic sensitivity converge, granting it a distinctly humanistic character. From this standpoint, engineering is not confined to designing functional systems or structures; it also generates meaningful experiences that directly influence the social, cultural, and physical environment in which people live. Furthermore, understanding engineering through a phenomenological lens highlights the role of the engineer as an active agent in the construction of meaning rather than as a mere executor of technical processes. This approach emphasizes the relevance of subjective experience, contextual interaction, and the ethical dimension of decision-making. Consequently, the paper advocates for a comprehensive training model for engineers that promotes both scientific rigor and the development of creative, reflective, and social capacities, oriented toward responsible and sustainable innovation. Adopting a more holistic educational framework would not only enhance professional practice but also reinforce the role of engineering in the positive transformation of contemporary society.
