Audiovisual Resources as a Tool to Optimise Academic Performance in Engineering Students

Abstract

This study explores how audiovisual resources contribute to the enhancement of learning and academic performance among engineering students. The flipped classroom methodology was implemented in the Hydraulic Works laboratory course across three educational institutions from diverse geopolitical contexts. The findings indicate that the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in skill acquisition, student satisfaction, and exam performance when compared to the control group. It is concluded that the use of audiovisual resources fosters greater abilities and confidence in students, leading to a positive impact on their academic achievement.
